Tens of thousands of people descended on Phoenix, AZ on 5-29-2010 to rally against Arizona Senate Bill 1070 (SB 1070) "Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act" which makes it a state misdemeanor crime for an illegal alien to be in Arizona.

I was in Arizona for the first time and went to downtown Phoenix to tour the city and take photos. I did not know about the rally until I ran right into it. Coming from a small city in Ohio, this was a unique opportunity for me as I don’t see things like this where I live, and I happened to have my camera with me. These are some of the photos I took that day.

I am presenting these photos only as record of what happened that day, I am not intending to show support or non-support for what the rally stood for. I do not live in Arizona and am not well-informed enough of the issues on either side to comment.
